I am finally taking a few minutes to update my WAY OVERDUE, sadly ignored blog. I thought I would post a few pictures from my trip to Italy with my girlfriends this past July. My dear friend Alva qualified for this cruise to Italy, Croatia and Malta and invited me and her niece, Angela. We were gone for about nine days and saw some amazing things. All in all, we visited Taormina-Sicily, Valetta- Malta, Dubrovnik-Croatia, Naples-Italy and Livorno/Florence Italy.
Malta is an amazing island south of Sicily and we visiting a fishing village bordering a breathtaking city built of limestone. Dubrovnik, Croatia was my favorite place and was the only place we ventured out on our own. Picture Cobblestone streets, neat little pizza places tucked into alleys that seemed to go on forever, people hanging clothes off their balconies full of colorful flowers, and great shopping! In Italy one of the places that stood out for me was Cinque Terre (on the Florence port), an enchanting colorful village carved into steep rocks by the sea.
We visited wineries, glass- blowing factories, fishing villages, beaches, pizza joints, gelato shops, an active volcano and many, many shops! We rode on coaches, trains, jet-foils, water taxis, chair liftsand a funicular (railway).
We had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back with my family!
